You did an outstanding job! You learned what we wanted and you arranged each and every detail. I never worried that someone wouldn't show up, or our tickets would be missing... everything was done perfectly.

Ciao Domenico, The easiest way for me to do this is by the towns.... MILAN: pickup at the airport was flawless. The hotel was in a great location and was very nice. The guide for the walking tour was very good (all the guides were good). The opera tickets were fantastic!!! The seats were great! The apperativo and dinner at El Brellin was very nice, location was beautiful right on the canal.... STRESA: Hotel Della Torre- view was fantastic. The boat rides to Villa Taranto and Isola dei Pescatori and Isola Bella and the Palazzo Borromeo were fabulous! Villa Taranto was gorgeous as well! COMO: Villa Carlotta and gardens were beautiful!! Bellagio was gorgeous. SIRMIONE: sigurta park was beautiful. Villa dei Cedri was amazing! So relaxing! Perfect that it was in the middle of the trip, very restorative!! MANTOVA: hotel was in a great location. Enjoyed this town...bakery right next door was a nice treat!! Palazzo Te was fabulous! VERONA: the wine tasting at Bacco in Soave was wonderful !!! Loved it!! The driver we had for this trip and the day before was a nice surprise...he is an opera singer and regaled us with a bit of opera during the trip! What a fantastic surprise! Icing on the cake! Loved Verona, did a bit of shopping there! The Palladian Villa Trissino was beautiful. The owners were very hospitable and the rooms they’ve renovated are gorgeous. A 3 or 4 day stay there with day trips would be very nice... PADOVA: the botanical gardens were nice, we were a bit tired by this point...the botanical garden we found in Milan was just as nice. The hotel was very nice. The area was not too conducive to walking around...found a wonderful Indian restaurant for lunch on the way to the gardens... VENICE: the river boat ride from Padova to Venice was great...the visits to the Villas were very informative and beautiful. Lunch was ok, a bit rushed...the hotel in Venice was perfect! Right in St Marks square...everything was close by. The guide for the walking tour was very informed. The visits to Murano and Burano were great, the guide on this tour went out of her way for us, all the guides were great, she went above and beyond. Enjoyed the gondola ride, 5:00 was a good time for it...not so crowded... So, to sum up.....this was the best vacation I’ve ever had! We felt like royalty at every turn. There were some very nice unexpected delights. I think perhaps a bit more information on the itinerary about transfers etc would be in order, but only a suggestion...the hotels were all fabulous, the driver and guides all fabulous and professional. I will definitively use your team any time I plan on going back to Italy...and believe me, I will be going back. Italy feels like home to me! Regards, Sandra

Many apologies, Domenic, for not getting back to you sooner. Yes, I was very happy with the Select Italy plans we made. I loved both hotel choices: one of the photos attached is from my window at the Hotel Colombina in Venice; the another is on my terrace at the Dei Borgognoni Hotel with the fragrant honeysuckle blooming. (Barbara joined me that morning for coffee on the terrace as we planned our day in Rome. Am so glad you placed her in a hotel nearby.) And, we did get to the Pantheon that afternoon---what a splendid building! Am also enclosing a photo of all of us (Barbara’s sister and brother-in-law with us) on the marvelous private guided boat ride around Venice---we have just passed under the bridge of Sighs. I also loved the foodie tour in Rome---there were six stops!!! Photo of me on the Ponte Sisto that evening as we crossed the Tiber River into the Trastevere neighborhood. All of the transfers worked out fine except for the mix-up at the Port in Rome. I was sorry that I did not get to taste more of the Campania wines you recommended---most of the wine shipboard was from Venice or Tuscany, but am still working on your list. And on the trip, had local wine whenever I could. Joan

Domenic, Everything went very well. Joan and I shared the car from Rome to the airport. The boat ride was fabulous! Thanks for everything, Domenic. I'll be in touch with you the next time I plan a trip to Italy.

Hello, Marlem! Thank you for the follow up email! We had an excellent time!! The trip went very smoothly and I attribute that to Matteo and your team! We had a wonderful driver/guide at all the right times and the hotel accommodations were excellent! We especially LOVED the hotel in Lyon- it and the staff were exceptional! The Macaron making class in Paris was absolutely perfect! In Nice, it was incredible to drive the French Riviera one day and the Italian the next! All the guides went above and beyond and we were so very thankful to have them teach us about the amazing country of France! We have nothing but wonderful things to say, thank you so much!! Warmly, Carrine

Hello Domenic, Thank you so much for coordinating an amazing trip to Italy. I can't say enough about all of the guides we had, especially Alvisi in Rome. Every one of them was knowledgeable, passionate and proud about the city they were sharing with us. The guides made the trip. We begged out of the 2nd Florence tour. We had been on the go for so much and had the amazing private wine tasting which was enough for us. The transfers were seamless and eliminated stress as we traveled around Italy. We absolutely loved the Forum Hotel and the Brunelleschi's location and luxury were amazing. The only complaint we had was the hotel in Venice. The staff were not friendly or particularly helpful and the breakfast was terrible. The quality of the food was sub-par and the service was bad. They had one waiter for a very small cramped dining area. If you can find a place that has a restaurant and more friendly staff, I would recommend that. However, the location was amazing so we didn't spend hardly any time in our room. Thank you again for an amazing trip!

Dear Alessandra, Sincere apologies for my delay in responding; the headline is that we loved everything and everyone; all went perfectly according to plan (either a posto or in ordnung, depending on whether you call it the Alto Adige or Sudtirol) and your organization was flawless. In Venice, Francesca and Alessandro were both kind, knowledgeable, and interesting. As you might imagine, there was a tiny bit of overlap in information, but I imagine most people don’t do both private tours in one day. The Duodo Palace was in a terrific location, central yet beautiful and quiet (astonishingly so, given the proximity of San Marco), and the concierge was helpful. No crowds anywhere and good weather (I love January). Alice and Valentina, who greeted us and bid us farewell, were friendly and so helpful. Venice, as ever, was magical, but it pained me to see how tourism has destroyed normal life for Venetians, robbed them of basic goods and services in favor of junk, and forced them out to cheaper areas. (I want to make it clear that no one we worked with made us feel this way; you just can’t help but notice it.) I think this was my last visit there as I don’t want to be part of the problem. But I was so grateful to have this final memory (particularly for a short stay, which made me feel less guilty) and that Colleen got to experience it once. Onto the mountains. The Garage San Marco that Matteo recommended was indeed secure and convenient, so we picked up our SUV and ski baggage and headed north to Avelengo. We stopped in Bolzano for lunch (I love Bolzano and may need to spend more time there, hint hint) and arrived at the Chalet Mirabell, which exceeded all expectations. Fantastic service, food, decor, comfort, cute hotel pets
Thank you for once again making Cowboy Way Travel look like rock stars. This is what the Leslie family wrote on my business Facebook page: "We have LOVED our Italy trip all planned and taken care of by you! Everything was seamless from beginning to end. Private transfers to each destination, day trips to allow us to see as much as we possibly could, simply wonderful trip! Rome, Pompeii, Florence and towns thru Tuscany. Thanks so much for the champagne to celebrate our 21st anniversary. Highly recommend your travel services." I love working with Select Italy. Thank you again. Dedra S.

Domenic - I just wanted to let you know what a wonderful trip we all had. Your country is magnificent! Rome, with all its history and the people - I couldn’t get enough. Our guide for the Colosseum and Vatican City, Silvio was just remarkable with his knowledge of history and theology. Absolute treasure. The drivers you set up were great - on time and very polite. Such a treat to have the travel you set up for us. We didn’t have to worry. My husband and I also loved Florence. The Uffizi museum and just exploring the streets of the city. We also met the Johnson’s from Nebraska and enjoyed meeting them and spending time with them on NYE. Very nice family. Thank you so much for everything you did to make our trip memorable and comfortable!!!! We will be going back to Italy - Florence for sure and will contact you! Hope you and your family had a wonderful holiday! Buon Anno!

My family used Select Italy for a 2-week vacation to Italy over Christmas and New Year’s holidays. From the very start, we found the company very easy to work with, including the staff listening and noting the items we wanted in a custom holiday trip. The trip itself was fantastic; the entire itinerary was provided in advance and essentially all we had to do was show up on time!

Hello Domenic, Where to begin? Our vacation in Italy was perfection from beginning to end. We have always loved visiting Italy, but we have not previously traveled in such grand style! The itinerary was wonderful; our only regret was that we couldn't have stayed longer to explore even more. The drivers and tour guides were excellent, considerate and very knowledgeable. We felt quite indulged. Our accommodations were spectacular. The locations of the hotels were ideal and the rooms were extremely comfortable, spacious and luxurious. Some words about our drivers and tour guides (I hope I have the correct names, but you will know who they are): Our first greeter was Edoardo, (sadly, I am forgetting his last name), who transported us from the Milan Airport to Bellaggio. We had the pleasure of his very efficient services several times and he is a charming and very thoughtful man. We enjoyed being with him. He is a wonderful representative for you. Melissa, our private Lake Como tour guide, was lovely and she afforded us a delightful overview of the towns along the Lake. Additionally, she graciously pour Prosecco for us on the boat. Squisito! Our brief visit in Vicenza was quite interesting. The Teatro Olimpico is incredibly impressive. In Venezia, Alessandro guided us through the Doge Palace and more. And, although we had visited before, his knowledge added so much to our appreciation of the history/art/architecture. He was very gracious and informative. In Milano, Emmanuella (hope this is correct) was superb. We first met for the evening tour, which was a lovely gesture from Select Italy, and we enjoyed the tour immensely. The next day, we met again for a fantastic three hour tour. We were especially thrilled to visit the marvelous La Scala Museum. Attending an opera at La Scala was a thrilling experience which we shall never forget. If we neglected to mention other individuals, we apologize. All of your representatives were excellent. Our itinerary was ideal and it was a marvelous balance of some guided tours and a majority of independent time. The Hotels: Simply wonderful in every way. Domenic Petrino: It has been a thoroughly delightful experience collaborating with you to plan our trip. Your warmth, consideration, expertise and superb listening skills created a most enjoyable process from our very first phone call. You truly understood what we were hoping for and you facilitated everything perfectly. In the past, with rare exception we have always planned our trips ourselves. Happily, you did it for us this time! There is nothing we would have changed, except perhaps spending a full year in Italy! Thank you so very much for your efforts in planning and coordinating everything so wonderfully.
